Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab mere dil mein hai

I'm here.I'm there. I'm everywhere. In short I have so much on my mind & words evade me at this time.
To start, I just got back from the movie RANG DE BASANTI. To put it concisely IT ROCKS. You might think it is a light-hearted, youthful movie. But make no mistake it is none of the two. It is the kind of movie which SHAKE you & fill you with fire. Recently I was involved in this little incident in my college, which is probably 1/100000th times of what actually happens in the movie. It goes something like - unnecessary violence by the people in the system, peaceful rebellion by me & finally me supressed by the system. If you understood any of that perplexing monologue you are well informed about MGIT. This movie is slightly like another movie LAKSHYA & SARFAROSH which also tells the audience the importance of putting one's country before everything else. I have always been a little of a rebel, a little of a patriot but until the above mentioned experience I never realised that one little act of yours could make such a difference. I wrote a small article about the injustice in college albeit with a small political mistake, i referred to a faculty member as a "guy" and some gentlemen misconstrued it to be "foul language" & all this caused quite a stir.
That apart I also attended this Dream Interpretation workshop in MOOD INDIGO 2005. In that I was told that our dreams are either a reflection of what we want to do & cannot or the other meaning could be something that what you see in the dream will transpire only if we take direction from the dream itself & work towards it. Darn !! I'm being vague again. It is just that one must realise the importance of standing up for oneself. Do not crib your problems away by blaming on this person or that person. Only YOU are responsilbe for your own destiny & when a whole nation of people realise this, that is when India will juggernaut its way to the very top. Some day when people speak of me,I do not want to be remembered as a person who was a thinker, I would prefer to be reminisced as a man who was a DOER. Some people will read this blog & laugh thinking "Saala dialogues bahut achcha likhta hai". But I beseech you, do not, for only time will tell who will have the last laugh.
On this day, I tell you this DON'T LET YOUR LIFE BE JUST ANOTHER IRRELEVANT EXISTENCE. DO NOT EVER GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT. RISE & TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR OWN DESTINY THEREBY LEADING THE POPULACE AROUND YOU TO ACCOMPLISHMENT. ONLY WE HAVE THE POWER TO SCRIPT THE FUTURE.
PS: I will make it a point to personally kick your ass if you don't watch the movie. That will make you comprehend the true meaning of what I have written.
PS-PS: It was personally fulfilling to see two outstanding Tam Brams in an outstanding Hindi movie

Man! That must be a damn good movie.

And yes... "DON'T LET YOUR LIFE BE JUST ANOTHER IRRELEVANT EXISTENCE. DO NOT EVER GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT. RISE & TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR OWN DESTINY THEREBY LEADING THE POPULACE AROUND YOU TO ACCOMPLISHMENT. ONLY WE HAVE THE POWER TO SCRIPT THE FUTURE."

I'm with you mate. I believe entirely what you've said.

"Bash on regardless! We always lead the bison charge!" Remember that?

hey man...

Aftr all that inspiring writing, u had to go personal and gloat about belonging to a small sect and not the whole???

Wats the point in taking up the whole issue of making a difference when you are struck with the narrow concept of your particular identity.

As atlantean points out, to get out and do a thing, u need to strive on and take everybody along. But u don't need to create big bangs! U can be just, simple and be an Indian first.

These petty differences of caste, creed and sect is wats hampering us.

Tam Brams, Gult Brams... wats the pt. Its India first and then us...

Nice post anyways....
