Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by an inability to sleep and/or to remain asleep for a reasonable period during the night. Sufferers typically complain of being unable to close their eyes or 'rest their mind' for more than a few minutes.Insomnia is often caused by fear, stress, and anxiety. An overactive mind can also be the cause of the problem.
Why is Insomnia a whole damn blog you say ?? Here comes my story... The previous night I was very tired & fell asleep almost as soon as I hit the sack. The following morningI woke at 5 am, strangely involuntarily. As hard as I tried my eyes were refusing to shut. So I decided " Yea !! What the hell !!" & decided to watch a few movies much to my mother's vociferous dislike (if you know me you would vouch for the fact that this is a rare occurence is my household). Well the damn schedule went something like this...

5am-8am->NUVOSTANANTE NENODHANTANA
8.30 - 10.30-> GOLDENEYE
10.30 -13.00 -> A BIT OF ZEHER (was busy with other important things )
13.30 - 15.30 -> THE AVIATOR (still have to watch the ending)
16.00-18.00 -> FOOTBALL (my favourite part of the day...but still it is very tiring)
Then I went to this dinner thing, which was originally scheduled to be at 19.00 but was delayed due to ...well I dunno the reason. Anyway, finally I was summoned to come at 21.00. On the way my bloody fuel ran out & I didn't realise I had to refuel because apparently my bloody fuel gauge is malfunctioning. Bugger !! I thought to myself. Well anyone who has a pushed a bike up a Banjara Hills slope would realise my plight. Oh did I forget to mention I was supposed to be home by 10 max & well thanks to some empty roads & some careless driving I reached 20 minutes late which I blamed on the Traffic. Hehe !! That is an eternal excuse for all us guys, isn't it ?? Now getting to why I was writing abt Insomnia. Hmmm, At the time that I'm writing this I imagined an hour prior to this that I would be fast asleep... but look, I'm still wide awake, my head is heavy & I have no clue why I chose to write about this topic. I guess its gonna take me some more movies to fall asleep. By the way, a special mention about my friend, Rakesh who gave all these movies & Congrats !! to my friend Keerthi whose bagged a job at Infosys despite being a Biotechie.
Conclusion, you say !! Check this out ->
Rock-a-bye adi, rolling on his cot
When slumber evades , he feels like he's been shot.
When this run breaks, asleep he will fall
Out will go Insomnia, headache & all.

A week into the holidays !

Its been a week since my semester holidays have started & I've realised how important these breaks can be. I absolutely love the winters. Hyderabad is quite chilly during this time, just the way I like it. I usually sleep till around 10.30 -11 am happily tucked under my cozy blanket. Then usually find myself occupied till the evening. But it seems the whole city gets into a festive mood during December (not coz my birthday is in that month) due to Christmas & New Year. The whole stretch from Somajiguda to the Airport & Banjara hills to Necklace Road is decorated with serial lights , the malls Hyd Central , Lifestyle & Shoppers Stop add to the whole lit-up atmosphere.

Also I've had the oppurtunity to work on a few new things, I'm getting addicted to Photoshop. Also been doing a li'l working out. You know getting rid of that flab (I know I'm skinny...but still I do have fat). Ok guys I'm gonna tell you something really weird, so please bear with me. Most of you get a kick out of doing various things, everyone has their own mantra. Well my mantra is all about getting my teeth chattering. Do you have any idea how it feels to go for a drive at 5 in the morning clad only in a sweatshirt & shorts on a bike doing around 70-80 kmph ?? If you do then welcome to the exclusive club of people who like to get themselves all frigid !! Absolutely Mental isn't it !! Thats just me. Other wacky things I love to do, there is this particular part of KBR park (for those who dunno, this is Hyderabad's equivalent of Central Park ...too much I think but its a comparison all the same ) which has a ledge adjacent to which a couple of livewires rest & exactly opposite to that is Road no.45( yeah the road adjacent to actor Balakrishna's house) that is great place to stare at. Most of Hyderbad's famous people pass through that road. So one would to get to see them, if their cars are not tinted heavily.

Other things I enjoy during Winter is the regular visits to the Chinese bandi, contradictory to what most of you might have heard about bandis, my bandi guy is a very hygiene conscious guy from Arunachal Pradesh. His Veg Manchuria rocks & so does his sense of humour. Apart from this, holidays include lotsa burning fuel on the spacious roads of Jubilee hills & exploring places in Hyderabad I've never visited so far. This time I'm kinda hoping to expand my horizons not restricting myself to the borders of this city only.

Thats about it about my escapades for now. My friends are here. Have to go now. In the words of the most famous Austrian in recent times "I'LL BE BACK".

Barca mauls Real

The MOST EAGERLY AWAITED CLASH turned out to be a totally one sided affair with Barca dominating from the start. Two moments of magic from Ronaldinho crowned a dominant Barca performance in the Bernabeu that saw Rijkaards team run out clear 0-3 winners to go four points clear of Madrid at the top of La Liga, overtaking Osasuna, who drew at Getafe.

Barca went to Madrid on the back of a great run and they just took up where they had left off with a superb display of controlled attacking football that saw them leave the Bernabeu crowd stunned. Samuel Eto'o's first half strike was scant reward for the team's dominance in the first 45 minutes, but two brilliant individual goals from Ronaldinho in the second half made it a deserved 0-3 result.

After just 4 minutes Messi provoked a foul on the edge of the box, which Ronaldinho hit into the wall, then 10 minutes later he burst into the heart of the Madrid defence before laying the ball off for Eto'o to strike low past Casillas for the first . In truth, the Cameroon striker should have scored 5 minutes earlier after a magisterial pass from Ronaldinho had set him free behind a static Helguera, but he hit his shot wide across the face of goal.

Barca's total football simply overwhelmed the much vaunted Galacticos of Madrid and only Casillas stood between Barca and a goal feast as Messi, Eto'o ad Ronaldinho were all denied by the brilliant .

Barca came out for the second half showing if anything an even greater dominance over their hosts and Messi twice came close in the first ten minutes, before Ronaldinho showed just why he's the world's best player. Picking up the ball inside his own half he left the Madrid defence flailing in his wake as he sprinted into the box to fire past a helpless Casillas. It could easily have turned even worse for the hosts, had the ref seen a cynical trip in the box on Messi by Roberto Carlos, but really, Barca didn't need any penalties in this game
. Not content with the magic of the second goal, Ronaldinho then repeated the trick a quarter of an hour later, again breaking in from the left and leaving Helguera and Sergio Ramos sprawling and shooting past the keeper for Barca's third.

Do clothes actually maketh the man ?

We've heard this on many occasions " IT IS THE CLOTHES THAT MAKETH THE MAN ". Dont know how this whole notion started off but I'm sure it is justified in the present day. According to me there a few DEFINED style trends prevalent among the youth today. Trust me I'm no style guru but I know my clothes -
1. HIP-HOP : This style has been popularised by the rappers in da hood. Everything about this stlye is loose. The pants cant seem to stay on... the shirts are so huge two people could fit into them. Also involves a whole lot of accesories like thick chains , wrist bands , bandanas & big rings.
2.LAIDBACK: This is what you will find me usually in & most of the people in. Constitutes a pair of jeans , tees or shirts & sandals. Nothing flamboyant but slick.
3.TRENDY: This is probably the most eye-catching of all the styles. Smart solid shirts , crisp pants, boots , a snazzy watch , cool shades & to top it off a neat blazer. Try this & temme if you dont get the right response.
4.RUGGED:This is the total badboy look. Cargos are a must. Well a sleeveless jacket works wonders. Printless tees & shirts work on da inside. Solid shoes definitely add character. Aviators & cool watches are essential. But the most important part of it is the UNSHAVEN BEARD...
This is my assessment & mine only !! So till next time STAY STYLISH

Dad's birthday

Dad's birthday !!

It's my dad's birthday today. He turns 50 today. I would think atleast for this reason I should have got some luck in my ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING paper today. But alas ! no mercy was shown. Think i'll just clear lekin JNTU ka kya bharosa. Anyway enough of that.
I'm here to recommend to you this movie called GHAJINI. Thought the whole family would get together & watch this movie & Boy !! IT was worth it. Its about this guy played by SURYA (of KAAKHA KAAKHA fame) who suffers from short term memory loss & keeps forgetting every 15 mins. The whole concept is amazing & there are awesome twists in the story. Surya has done a wonderful job.Be it the bold, energetic business magnate or the wild deranged chaser Surya steals the show. Asin looks very pretty & is full of energy. The villain BHIKSHU YADAV OF SYE plays a double role ..strange but effectively menacing. Harris Jayaraj scores again with his melodies. Kudos to director A.R.Muragadoss. TAMIL CINEMA is definitely progressing in the right direction

Semester Blues !!

It should come as a surprise to many that I'm blogging for the first time with my 1st semester exams just 2 days away. This whole time has been very uneventful for me. I effectively screwed my labs . I'm not able to focus on that very important ALL-IN-ONE which can make a dumbass into a topper (i'm neither ). Its strange I know...I was stuck to my text books in the 1st year & I ended up with a 73 %. People who relied only on the abover mentioned book ended up scoring much better than me. Thus I have lost hope in the whole institution of "understanding what you study". I guess people who have higher numbers on their marksheets are of greater value though I beg to differ.
My efforts to be a good engineer might be in vain. I have joined the IEEE & I'm the Treasurer of the ISTE, two of the more prestigious engineering societies. But there haven't been any activities as yet. But I won't lose hope. As for myplans for the future. I'm planning to abandon Engineering as a whole. For what you say ... ?? For the CIVIL SERVICES. Yeah it has been my dream since I was a kid that I might become an awe-inspiring Police officer someday. But as you all must know it requires a lot of hardwork & well it would be safe to say that hardwork & aditya never go together.
But as for now I'm planning to get my ass away from the computer , try to browse through the ALL-IN- ONE & hopefully get a little of it into my head. So until next time..BON NUIT !!
